Hi there,

On our windows 2000 server we have applied 15 CAL terminal
servier licenses. when checking the license manager it
states we have 15 licenses with 0 available. some of the
15 licenses that are in use are assigned to people or
computers that are no longer active. How can I release
the current licenses to make the 15 available again and
then re-issue the licenses to the current users?

Is there steps that need to be done on the clients and or
server?

thanks in advance

If these TS CALs do not have an expiration date in License Manager,
then you have installed them *before* the LS got SP3 or higher. In
that case, the licenses are permanently allocated to the discarded
clients and the only way to get them back is to phone the
Clearinghouse and get them re-issued.

Licenses that were installed *after* SP3 (which included a Licensing
Enhancement), get an expiration date. That means that they
automatically will be transferred back to the LS after 52-89 days.

hey, I have the same Problem me thinks. What is the Clearinghouse number or
where can I look it up so that I can do the same.

THanks
