Hi there

I have just started looking at terminal server so I'm
quite fresh at using it. Here is my problem.

I have a client using Windows 2000 server with terminal
services running. Now I'm not too sure whats happening but
everytime a user logs onto a specific PC, the thin client
PC at the front desk, the user keeps getting logged off
after 5 mins. Now I thought that maybe we set the user up
incorrectly or that there is something wrong with the PC.
But I put in a new thin client and used a different users
logon and still have the same results. I'm not too sure
whats going on. I'm thinking maybe it could be the
physical network connection?

Any ideas? I'm at a loss

Cheers guys

Kelly

If this happens exactly after 5 minutes (or 5 minutes of idle time?), then
have a look at the time-out settings on connection duration and idle time
in TS Connection Manager.

Cheers for that Vera.

I have already checked the connection manager? and the
idle time for it. Its set to 3 Hours. This is set for
everyone and it only happens on that PC. I didn't see any
Connection Manager but I did find Terminal Services
Configuration under Admin tools ( Is this the same as
Connection Manager? )and thats where I found it. I don't
know where to go from here. Maybe I should just change the
network connection :)

Thank you for the reply. Any other suggestions?
