Temporary user account being cached?

I am using IE6 with the latest patches on WinXPPro with the latest
patches/SPs. I have been testing a Web application my team is
developing. I created a number of test accounts in AD, and configured
my browser to prompt me for login when accessing sites in the Intranet
zone. After completing my test pass, I changed the browser config BACK
to automatic login in Intranet zone. Now, whenever I access the Web
app, it still thinks I am the user that I was logged in as when
prompted for my credentials, instead of the user that I am logged into
my computer as. I have deleted cookies, deleted history, deleted saved
passwords, deleted autocomplete entries, rebooted and shut down my
computer, but always come back to the same spot. IIS has been reset on
the Web server hosting the app. I've logged into another XP machine and
repeated the scenario, but after changing the browser config back, it
correctly reports me as the user logged into the computer. So I know
the issue isn't with the Web app. Is there some other deeply buried IE
config option that has caused this other account to be cached? Thanks!

Additional info: When I use something like SQL Server Query Analyzer
and choose to connect to a DB with Windows Authentication, it
uses/shows the account I am logged into my computer with.

Hi,
[Longshot- may not apply to XP Pro]
Control Panel> User Accounts> username> Manage network passwords. Anything
stored there?

Hope this helps,
Don

Thanks Don - that was the ticket! Actually, in XP Pro, when you get to
the User Accounts screen for the user, click the Advanced tab. There
you will find a "Manage Passwords" button, which gives you the ability
to manage the accounts\passwords stored for Web sites. Thanks for your
help! - Pat
