Diesel Dan

I cannot delete my temporary internet files. I can move
them to the recycled bin but when I try to empty it I get a
message saying access denied disk maybe write protected
yada yada yada. Then when I look at the ContentIE directory
they've beeen copied back.
I've just removed a virus,W32.HLLW.Studd, and dragged off a
bunch of spyware with Ad-Aware 6(KaZaa seemed like such a
good idea). I use Norton Anti virus, my OS is Windows
98se.All my updates are current. I don't use IE 6 as my
browser and just recently installed the critical update for it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why not delete them in the normal manner?

The usual way to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

....Alan

in "XP style" windows
start button
all programs >
accessories >
system tools >
disk cleanup
pick desired drive C:
pick ok
when clean up window appears
make desired changes
pick ok

Thanks for your reply Alan, but that doesn't work either. I
don't get any error messages but the files stay where they are.
