I need for XPe to stop deleting all of my cookes on reboot. I don't want
users to have to reenter the password and user id for a certain website and
the information is saved in a cookie.
Originally cookies were stored on the Z: drive (RAMDRIVE). I attempted to
use IE Options to move the folder to the C drive. It seemed to work but on
reboot IE went back to looking for cookies on the Z: volume again, even
though I committed the changes, and IE still showed the Tempoary Internet
files on the C drive where I moved them. In the registry entry
HKey_Users/(UID)/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Esplorer/ShellFolders/Cookies
I found that the Data was still set to Z:\Administrator... So, I attempted
to change that registry entry to the path I wanted, set EWF to commit the
data, and rebooted. Low and behold if the reboot set the registry entry back
to Z:\Administrator. First, Can I make changes to the registry that will
Commit to Volume on reboot. Second, is there some other way? I have a
feeling that this registry key might be coming from some other file that is
loaded on reboot.
