I hope maybe someone can help me:

After defragging my c drive, the report showed up that I
still had some fragmented files located in my temporary
internet files under my local settings folder. I went
under folder options to view hidden files and went to
that location on my drive to delete those files. When I
checked the Content.IE5 folder nothing was there. Under
properties it shows there is 1.76 GB used. I copied and
pasted the folder to another drive and I was able to view
the contents of the folder. My question is how do I make
the contents viewable so I can delete it, or is there
another way of clearing it. I can't directly delete it
because its system folder and I tryed through internet
explorers settings and that didn't do it either.

Any help would be appriecated

you can in internet options in control panel. And click
on the settings of the "Temporary internet files" then
click on "View files". There you can switch the view to
details and then sort by size to see the files you have.
A good sort is to do first by type then size.

Assuming you haven't done so, if you open a folder (e.g. Contents.IE5), then go to Tools>Folder Options>View and select the 'Show hidden files and folders' button, that might reveal more files.
My FTP program lists ALL files in a folder, which can be useful for deleting hidden files.
