HI
I'm running winXP, and I normaly clean up unnessesary
files on my drive, namely, the Temporary Internet Files.
But, there are about 5 files, in different folders, that
will not delete. And because they will not delete, it
leaves the folder that they are in full. I tried right
clicking on these files to delete them individualy, but
all I get is a warning reading 'Cannot find source to
delete file. Make sure the path is correct' But I don't
know were they are from, and it gives little details
about them. Are they viruses? And how can I get rid of
them?

How are you cleaning the files? Explorer - delete or IE,tools, internet
options, delete files (check box for offline content), OK?

Any files you do not want you can deleted them through
command prompt.

1. Do the files that will not delete have extensions to
the filenames, or not? For example, is the filename
Jane1.tmp or is it jane1. with nothing after the dot?

2. Is the file that will not delete named index.dat?
