I currently have 1.75gig of files in my "Temporary Internet Files Folder"
even though the "Amount of Disk Space to Use" is set at 25meg.

What is the purpose of the "Space Use" setting if it allows files/folder
sizes to grow beyong the limit?

Is there somewhere else to control "Temporary Internet Files Folder" space
use?

Thanks

Hi,
When you clear the TIF, check the "Delete offline content" box when that
dialog pops up.

And you probably have a corrupted Temporary Internet Files folder. Delete
the folder and a new one will be created on restart.

[Assuming Windows XP]
Login as another user with administrator privileges, or from the machine's
default administrator account (startup in safe mode.) Make sure that you can
see hidden and system files (Folder Options> View) then delete the affected
TIF folder from Windows Explorer. It will be at [C:\Documents and
Settings\yourusername\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files] Restart the
computer.

Hope this helps,
Don
