Temporary files no longer display - where are they?

Two years ago I changed the location of the temporary Internet Files and
Cookies, and the contents are manually deleted after every Internet session.
Last week the new location no longer shows any files - just an index.dat file
that won't let me delete it. Where did the files go?

Does anyone have any idea what happened? Why did the directory that has been
in one location for two years suddenly change last week?

Windows and IE versions, please?

What is the current location of Temporary Internet Files according to IE
Tools > Internet Options > Temporary Internet Files (if IE6) or Browsing
History (if IE7 Beta3) > Settings?

Repeat:
What is the current location of Temporary Internet Files according to IE
Tools > Internet Options > Temporary Internet Files (if IE6) or Browsing
History (if IE7 Beta3) > Settings?

And is C:\Rocks the folder where you're only finding the file Index.dat?

Did you create the folder C:\Rocks before you changed the location of your
TIF?

What's in the following folder?... C:\Documents and Settings\[your Profile's
username]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files?

Is "Show Hidden Files & Folders" enabled at Control Panel > File and Folder
Options > View > Files and Folders?
