In XP I used to get temporary clips from Temporary Internet Files. Where do

You'll have to remove the checkmark (if they're hidden) in windows Explorer:
Organize - Folder & Search Options - View

Temporary Internet Files is part of Internet Explorer, not of the operating
system directly, and it hasn't changed much in the past several versions of
IE.
In IE (whether 6 or 7 or 8 - and earlier, as I recall), click Tools |
Internet Options. (If the Menu Bar is not visible, press <Alt> to turn it
on momentarily, then right-click on a blank part of it and check the box to
toggle it on.) On the first tab ("General") are some buttons to manage the
TIF; in IE8 the area is called "Browsing history", but the behavior is
basically the same as in prior versions of IE. Click the "Settings" button
to get to the page where the TIF can be managed.
In the middle of this TIF page is "Current location", which shows you where
your files are. There are also 3 buttons labeled "Move folder", View
objects" and "View files". While the filenames are often cryptic, you may
be able to locate the files you are looking for and Copy them.
Caveat: I haven't actually tried to do much with these files. In fact, on
the final ("Advanced") page of Internet Options, I've checked the box to
"Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed"; this keeps
the TIF from filling up my hard drive with stale files - they are, after
all, expected to be temporary, as the name says. Years ago I learned that
these TIF files and folders DO NOT behave like other Windows files! Unless
you are an expert (many users are more expert than I), do not try to
manipulate them with Windows Explorer or other "normal" Windows tools.
