Hi there
I am quite new to word, and am trying to produce a template, with a picture
added to it, but when I save it as a template to be able to use again the
cursor is at the top of the inserted picture and consequently you have to
move it down to start typing which is not good for other users of this
template as it messes it all up and you lose all the formatting. Any help
would be appreciated. Do I need to put the picture as a header? or is there
a better way.

Thanking anyone in advance for any help in this matter.

Sue

I believe you could also create a macro that moves the
cursor to the point where you want to have the user
start, and call the macro AutoNew so it runs
automatically when the document/template is opened.

But I think that putting anything you want protected at
the top of the document into a header is just as
effective, though it may confuse a user who won't see it
until they go to Page View...

Probably the easiest way is to insert the picture into a first-page header.
(Under Page Layout you need to check "Different first page" to have a
first-page header.)

Not to mention that unless you put it in the First Page Header, it will
repeat on every page.
