Anyone: I am interested in FrontPage 2003's stated ability
to use Dreamweaver templates but was hoping someone might
give me a few details. Is this full support for all the
features of DW templates? If not, which features would not
be supported?

I design for my company's sizeable company intranet and
would like to continue to create templates in Dreamweaver
but need to be compatible with department developers using
FP. I would love to tell them to upgrade to FP2003 if the
templates are truly compatible.

Any help on this question would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've been able to tell, the templates are compatible with
Dreamweaver and Ultradev 4 style templates but not with MX yet.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the help Mark. That's rough news though. Do you
know offhand what features were added in MX that weren't
in previous? I hate the idea of working in the old
version...

Possibly ask this question in the Dreamweaver forum also. I don't know why
FP 2003 ended up with DW v.4 features and not MX... they're a whole version
behind already. Quite a number of folks want to use features from both.
Just a strange thought... but how might Contribute help you???

Eleanor:

Good thought. Doesn't look possible though. Unfortunately
I'm dealing with people who are hopelessley attached to
FP. Also, with the amount of licences we're talking about
the FP2003 upgrade is probably cheaper than a new product.

I will try a Macromedia board though. Thanks a lot for the
help.
