Make sure they are accessing the tmp file correctly. If
you have saved the file in excel as a .xlt within the
program; others using the template should access it :
File (menu option)
New
General template
This way the program will save the file as .xls
If you are just holding the template in a folder outside
of the actual excel temp. folder the program will treat
the file just like any other spread sheet and write over
it.
If your workers have their own systems they are working
from send them the file and have them save it indivually
into the Excel Template folder; useing the save as, and
file type.

the sheet and workbook are protected but when they save
the data it's saving over the template. They should
do "save as .xls" but that is way to difficult to make
them understand
automatically save as .xls (or doc) and leave the
template empty

Hopefully this is an easy one for someone here
I have created a template for techs to input
the sheet and workbook are protected but when they save
the data it's saving over the template. They should
