Template Question

I designed two templates that I saved as templates. One is more of a slide 1
(cover slide) and the other is a template I wish to use for the remainder of
the presentation. When I create a new presentation I can select the cover
slide with no problems. I then saved the presentation as a presentation. But,
when I go to slide 2 and try to switch to the the primary template nothing
happens. I've reviewed previous questions and haven't found anything that is
helping.

What's the deal? Thanks, JS

The usual way to achieve this is to have a one template with a title master
(for the cover slide) and a slide master for everything else. On the master
toolbar > insert new title master. What version of ppt are you running, if
its pre xp you cant use multiple templates.

Did that answer the question / help?

I am using 2002. I will try that. I am not totally familiar with what you're
saying, but should be able to mess around with it. The whole template thing
seems to be sketchy to me. I have saved about 5 total templates. It seems
like once you open a presentation and try to use a template you created
everything gets screwed up. At this point I am debating whether I should
continue to use the usual suspects.
