creating a donation ltr template that has insert areas to

can anyone point me into the direction of how to insert or
create a template letter that has open spaces for fill in
information.

Hello,

If you are entering a large number of different
information, a mail merge might be your best bet. If not,
then a form would work. To create one, first bring up the
forms toolbar by right-clicking on any toolbar and
selecting Forms from the list. Insert text boxes if you
are typing in random information, or combo (drop down)
boxes if you are picking information from a finite set of
possibilities. Right-click on any of the fields that you
insert in your form and select Properties to set default
values, etc.
When finished typing the entire document, lock the form,
and you will have your template. While the document is
locked, you will only be able to change the information
in the form fields.

Does this help?

Hope this helps,
