template for new document type

is there a template that will let me create a new email msg when i
right click on the desktop and select new then "new email message"
without having to open up an email program ?
 
If you youse Outlook 2000, you can also save a An email as an
<put the name here>.oft file. Works the same as a Word (*.dot) or Excel
(*.xlt) template

And for those who did not knew yet: You can change *.doc to *.dot and *.xls
to *.xlt by just changing the extention letters. No need to open word or
exel for that.

And for powerpoint:
an *.ppt document opens the file in edit mode, *.pps opens the file in
pesentation mode.
