Hi there,
our marketing department has created a 4 page template in
Xp which it wants to roll out to the entire company. Many
of our employees however still work on ppt 97!
the new template does not only use 4 template slides,
(title slide, subtitle slide, two kinds of content slides)
but also has customized images as bullets.

Is there a workaround for the 97 users to be able to use
this kind of template at all?

Thanks!!

Not really.

PowerPoint 97 can't use images as bullets. You can add them manually as
graphics, but you couldn't ask the users to do that. It's far too much
work. Sometimes you can add your bullet character to a custom font, but
that only works if the font's installed. It might be best to use a standard
font bullet instead. Or upgrade to PPT 2000, which does allow picture
bullets.

Versions of PPT before 2002 can't use multiple masters. See
http://www.echosvoice.com for some workarounds.
