temp. internet files

Why are there some temporary internet files that I cannot delete? This is
the first time this has happened. Is there a way for me to delete them?

Two possibilities... They may currently be in use so they can't be. Or
they may be part of a page you recently set to always have available; you
don't have to be connected to see the page.

They were not in use when I tried to delete them and I didn't set them to be
available. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
