This is a hidden and protected OS folder, so you have to change the View to
display both.

Thanks for the response Dave.

Are image files still stored in this location with all the other files ?

John

The image files are there, but to see a preview of the image, you have to
access those files in a sub-folder. The sub-folders are not displayed, by
default.

Copy the following path and past it into the address bar in Windows
Explorer.

C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5

Change 'user name' to the account name you are logged on with. Press Enter.

You should now see these folders:
Temporary Internet Files
Content.IE5

Under the ContentIE5 folder, there will be several folders with random,
alphanumeric names, such as 6eCIyp3b or similar.

These folders will display a preview of the images if you have the Large or
Largest Icons view enabled. Most of the files in these sub-folders will show
a blank icon. You may need to scroll to the bottom of these folders to see
all of the image files.

Hi, John.

As with the past several versions of IE, click:
Tools | Internet Options, and on the first tab (General), under Browsing
History, click Settings. The next window shows the Current Location for
your Temporary Internet Files.
