Peter

I have W2K Professional and I am getting the following error message when I try to run a Telnet session.

Hi Peter,

You have installed the evaluation version of Microsoft Services for Unix
3.0 on Windows 2000.

Uninstall Microsoft Services for Unix Eval should solve the problem.

To check for Services For Unix look in the Environment Variables for :

INTERIX_ROOT
INTERIX_ROOT_WIN
SFUDIR
SFUDIR_INTERIX

Thanks for using Microsoft News Group!

Sincerely,

Steven Liu

Hi Peter,

I think you may need to replace the Telnet service registry from a good
Windows 2000 computer.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TlntSvr
