I've got a Telex 387 printer that I want to connect to a PC running Windows
(any flavour of Windows will do)...

The problem is that the Telex 387 only has a BNC connection. It was
originally used in an IBM mainframe environment (specifics unknown).

What do I need to do, in order to make this connection to a PC?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you could find something like this ISA network card.

Unless you know the protocol, don't buy a card on spec. Chances are
that an ancient machine like this doesn't talk Ethernet protocols, and
that's what the network card does - at 10Mbps. A Telex will probably
do about 120bps. In fact, I can't imagine why it needs a BNC connector
unless it somehow uses an analogue signal. Just possibly it is really
a serial interface, but using co-ax cables to cut down interference
from sharp edges in a sensitive environment. There may be PC to telex
cards around, but I don't know of one (a quick Google search came up
with telex to PC cards)

Could have been part of an IBM 370 system.
