This is a new one to me, but sounds similar to A-Toolbar which I have found
very useful and seems to be completely safe.

That's 15x the size of the Telescope download but A-Toolbar has al lot
more features. Telescope only queries search engines. I had a quick
look at it and it looks OK, nothing fancy but it seems to do the job
quite well and very fast, and no adware. Don't know about privacy yet
though.

I was wrong, it searches more sites and it is configurable. Actually
Telesope is beginning to look more and more interesting, and it's
definitely Boomer-sized at 120 Kb.
