Hi

Had this problem before about a month ago and formatted my hard drive and
started again. I have been using the system for the past month with no
problems but yesterday after booting up the system the following happend
again:

All flash drive for my SD/MMC etc failed to appear with a green light stuck
on permanently and do not work at all.

On checking event viewer I have two problems showing (just like last time):

Source - Security - Category Logon/Off - Event ID 529 - User NT
Authority/System.
Description - Unknown user name/bad password. Logon type - 2 - Logon
process - Advapi. Authenticate package - Negotiate.
Logon attempt by MS authentication package v1_0 Error code 0x0000006A.

Source - Service Control Manager. Category - None. Event ID - 7001.
Description - The remote access connection manager service depends on the
telephony service which failed to start because of the following error: The
service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no
enabled devices associated with it.

These are the exact same problems that happened last time and I do want to
re-format my HD any more.

Any ideas that might sort out the problem??????

I am using an Advent T9100 3.2E computer with 1GB RAM Intel Pentium 4
Processor running MS XP Home and is fully up to date. I am running a network
in my home both wired and wireless with my laptop - no problems on my laptop.
I am using BT Broadband running 8.1 MBPS.

Look forward to getting some answers

Thank you

I saw your post yesterday but was waiting for someone else who has a better
answer than mine to respond to your querry, since you haven't had a responce
in a day here goes my two cents worth, all I can think of is to go to admin
tools>services and be sure that "telephony" is set to automatic and start
the service, also under the "recovery tab" set it up to restart the service
when to fails.
Good Luck!
