Tektronix Phaser 350 Error 04,005:44

Hello

I am trying to fix a Phaser 350 with Error 04,005:44
"failure positioning the drum maintenance cam during a drum maintenance
cycle. Check drum maintenance cam solenoid,"

Does any one know how I can fix this?

Hi Mat,

On the left side there is the drum encoder wheel.
Try to clean it with water, NO ALCOHOL ! ! !
Also clean the opto-coupler.
 
Hi,
it's the drum maintenance clutch that is bad.
That is a white plactic part with 3 stops on it.
Cleaning the drum encoder will have no effect and you will likely dammage
the encoder or reinstall it improperly.

If anyone actually finds out how to fix this, can they let me know?
I've got the same problem...
