Hi all,

I've noticed this process called Tea-timer running when I open task manager
and click on the processes tab. Could someone please tell me what this is?

Thanks.

It's part of SpyBot S&D.

It's part of Spybot S&D.. it warns you if a program tries to make
changes in the registry. WinPatrol and some other software gives
similar warnings.

Ah...Thank you.

TeaTimer is a program that is part of Spy Bot Search & Destroy. It monitors
changes to the registry and prevents them from being made if so directed by
the user.

I got tired of all of the nags and removed the thing.

It does alert you about registry changes, which is nice.

It does not alert you that it is a huge consumer of virtual memory.

Open Task Manager, Click the Process tab, and resize the window
(wider) to see the VM column, double click it to sort by most to
least. This is a good way to see where your VM is "going" by the
way...

Who's on top!

TeaTimer for me - even with Firefox, Outlook which are 2nd and 3rd.
