Dear gods of the earth!!

Since upgrading my Win2003 member server to Active Directory Ive been
getting a few issues namely with certain services failing to start.

I believe this issue however was as a result of a recent virus attack and
the application removed the executable.

This executable is tcpstat.exe, located under the [Boot]\Windows\System32
directory. As this file is not present on the machine the IP / TCP Service
will not run anymore. I have set this to manual, but wondered if this was a
required Win2003 service?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Paul

It had to be a virus then - I haven't installed any 3rd party
applications and this shows up as IP / TCP Services

Many thanks Doug

Paul.

As far as i know tcpstat is a third party utility for monitoring TCP
traffic. It is not installed on any of my Windows Server 2003 machines.
You can get the utility here:
