Need to setup various tcpip printers of various brands in my windows
98 machie but understand that 98 does not support natively such
printing. Anyone knows of a third party software I can use in order
to setup my tcpip printing?

Regards and thank you for your help

If the print servers are genuine HP JetDirects and not some other brand,
HP's "Install Network Printer Wizard" works; search the HP web site for
it.

Otherwise, I've had poor success with lpr software for Win 9x. The best
solution is to dump it for Unix or Linux. However, most people just go
to W2K or XP, which support native TCP printing.

Hello,
You can try out Axis Print Monitor:
http://pigtail.net/LRP/printsrv/install-axis.html
I Have successfully installed this utility on 9x systems to make it possible
to use TCP/IP printing.
