You can either disable the associated process/service or use a firewall to
block access to untrusted networks. Using TCPView will help you determine
what application/process/service is using a network port. You can not always
disable a port and maintain functionality. If you are not on a network
offering shares, then uninstall file and print sharing. If you are not
logging into a domain or accessing shares/printers then uninstall Client for
Microsoft Networks.--- Steve
