I am using win2000
In the winnt/system32/spool/printers/folder, there are
tcp.tmp files. What are they and what do they do?

the Standard TCP/IP Port creates tcpNNNNN.tmp files when the targeted device
requires an exact byte count. There is a bug in Win2000 when the spooler is
attempting to delete the tmp files in the users context and this fails since
it created them in system context. I believe this was fixed in SP3.
