TCP/IP Protocol is not installed message

Hi, I am trying to load Activesync and get the message:
The TCP/IP Protocol must be installed on this computer
before Activesync can be installed.
As far as I am aware this is installed, at least when I
look at my internet properties I am tols that my
connection uses Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Am I missing something? Any assistance would be
appreciated. Thanks. David.

Even though your TCP/IP protocol is in place for the internet connection,
it doesn't seem to be what the ActiveSync setup is looking for. Anything at
the website for Activesync about the error message from their setup
program?
