Brian

I have a LAN with a broadband connection. I also have
three computers hooked up to the network. One of the
computers gives me a totally different ip than it
should. I can access the network, but not the internet.
The local ips of all of my computers except the one in
question are 192.168.1.1** (*s are specific to comps).

The default gateways for the computers that work area all
192.168.1.1, the computer that doesnt work doesn't have a
gateway.

I have tried setting up the computer's ip settings
manually, but it does nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Put in 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway for the computer that doesn't
work, and you'll be able to access the Internet.

You have to assign not only default gateway, also DNS.
The DNS can be your gateway IP address /192.168.1.1 or
your ISP's DNS address. You can get your ISP's DNS
address from your router(sounds like you have a router)
