Hello,

I don't know if anyone else has tried this. I am
attempting to create a peer to peer firewire network with
each computer having the Windows 2000 platform. I am
trying to have Windows 2000 see the TI Chip-base IEEE 1394
firewire card as a network adapter and then have a TCP/IP
stack associated with the card. I know XP has native
Firewire network support. Windows 2000 recognizes the
cards just fine. When I connect them together, there are
driver issues "Microsoft PC 1394" pops up in the device
manager and is shown as a driver or device issue. Can
anyone help me resolve this issue? There isn't a
requirement for a cross-over cable like when shareing an
ethernet connections is there. Please advise. Thank you.

Win2K does not support IEEE1394 Networking. WinME and XP do.
