I got the above msg after installing and uninstalling
McAfee AntiVirus. Now I can't access Internet.
Message came up in dialog labeled "Mobile Devices Properties"
I've tried uninstalling Active Sync as I saw suggested, but
to no avail.
Any help, please?

Well I found a fix, if anyone's interested.

1) Uninstall the TCP/IP stack from the network card. If you
get messages about Unix print services and basic TCP/IP
services, they can be removed from the Windows components
section of add/remove programs.

2) In regedit,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services
backup, then delete the "Winsock" and "Winsock2" entries.

3) Reboot, and

4) Reinstall the TCP/IP stack.

Works a treat.

I got this from a Ken Wickes (MSFT)- thanks Ken.

Julian.
