TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent
TCP connect attempts.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

That link has no information and I'm wondering exactly what this means. It
occurs for no reason 2 to 4 times a day.

Thanks Wesley. I found a patch online that raised my TCP/IP limit to 50, do
you think that's dangerous? I'm fully protected security-wise.

Windws XP SP2 introduces a few new twists to TCP/IP in order to babysit
users and "reduce the threat" of worms spreading fast without control.

I have SP1 so I do not have the SP2 imposed limit.

Only you know if there is malware on your machine.

You might look to see if there are other Warning / Error Reports
indicating problems such as time outs!

Hope this helps.

No other warnings at all. I'm upgrading to XP Pro SP2 soon and most likely
that will restore the original settings anyway.
