Jason

I'm running windows 2000 SP3. TCP/IP is not loading
correctly at startup. I can ping all internal servers but
can't connect to them and I am unable to ping any external
sites. I have checked the dns settings and all seem fine.
I have uninstalled the network card then re-added it and
re-installed tcp/ip but still the same fault.

Does anyone have any ideas????

Check TCP/IP Properties. You install Client for Microsoft Networks and File
and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks?

If you can ping internally, then TCP/IP is ok, but other
services may not be correct.

What are the results of ipconfig /all ?

More details on your problem will get you more concise
help.

Do you have the correct gateway IP? Also, as someone else suggested, make
sure you have the Client for Microsoft Networks installed. You may also
need File and Printer Sharing installed/enabled.
