I just got a new computer at work with Windows XP
Professional on it. I am on a network connected via
ethernet. Our server is connected to our internet hub
(DSL). I can log onto the network fine, but my internet
will not work. With windows 98 I was able to set up one
tcp/ip with IP addresses for server, and another one that
would automatically detect IP for the internet. With
WindowsXP I can't seem to find a way to do that. Does
anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for any info

Robin

WindowsXP can share internet connection to other computers and XP can use
internet connection from another pc. For shor time I had W2K with internet
connection and XP which used internet from that W2K machine. I configured
W2K internet connection for connection sharing. XP had static tcp/ip address
and default gateway was tcp/ip address of that W2K machine. I don't remember
wether there were more settings. Although I had dial-up internet connection
and not DSL.
