i need a professional eye to look at my puter, if your not
too busy...mainly it has to do with my bootup. I dont know
what security settings I have to make. my security is
pretty tight. But I need someone that knows about whats
happening here to look...if you got a min or two...?
 
Steve, you would be better off making a posting about what your particular boot
up/security problems are, then someone who is familiar with the problem may be
able to assist you. It's not recommended inviting just anyone to link up to your
computer as you really don't know who is linking up - these NGs are read by
many. I have already been attacked 6 times since being on line.

Make a posting, explain your situation and get some advice/suggestions. I doubt
I could assist you in that particular area anyway but possibly others who read
the NG could.. Perhaps make a posting under Security and Administration.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

k=liking me...as much as i would like too try that....its
just an attempt to get a professional to look at my system
and give me an idea where to start to fix it.I have had
many a "professional" girl come and look at it but they
havent got a clue and I cringe if they touch my keyboard.

I have a feeling about you and I'm going on that whatever
the real reason...my paticular problems are: as indicted
in the event logs: "pwif2 failed to load eventID 7026"
and "systemroot\system32\NTOSKRNL.EXE failed to load event
ID 26".... I am sorry you were attacked...I would never do
that but i can understand your apprehension. i have had
many e-mails sent to me since I once posted my real e-mail
addy here, that contained viruses filtered out by my ISP
and confirmed by my anti-virus program. I don't want "just
anyone" thats why I am asking if you have some time just
too take a look at it...2wwell good night...im off to
bed...its been a hectic night ;-)
 
Thanks for the links...I tried google but didn't try
searching by the event ID. Sorry bout being such an A$$
the other night.
