Tasks versus Calendar Events

Presently, I put my deadlines into Outlook 2000 as Tasks and as Events
on the Calender and must confess that I do not know which is better.
What are the reasons for using the Calendar versus the Task List? Tasks
seem to be able to harass me more than an event on the Calendar.

It's strictly your personal choice. Many people have to-dos that are not
tied to particular dates, for which a task works better.

Thanks, Sue. Is there anything that a Calendar event will accomplish
that a Task will not, other than showing up on the Calendar, which I
normally don't use? I need for an event to "ping" me until I take care
of it. Tasks seem to be a better fit.

By the way, your link http://www.outlookcode.com/tyo2kp.htm on your web
page is broken.

Does your company offer custom programming?

Both fire reminders, so it's really up to you. I have tasks with absolutely
firm due dates on my calendar and those without in Tasks.

Yes, we do custom programming, particularly Outlook forms and printing
solutions.
