Tasks time stamp

I would like to see a built in function for time stamping entreis into the
message field of the task form. For years, i've logged task details/activity
by typing the date first and then my notes.
An automated function for this that you can turn on or off would be awesome!

Already there in Outlook 2007;
Insert-> Date & Time

You can assign this a (different) key combo and/or put it on the Quick
Access Toolbar as well for easy access.
