I wish to have lets say the weather webpage to open every morning on my pc.

Is there a way to do this, i tried to scedule a task but it kept asking for
a password to be entered and comfirmed. i typed in one, but said i do not
have permission.

I do not have a login on my pc, i have windows xp. which starts up and shows
the desk top with no clicking of a user name or entering a password.

Thank you for your help.

You need to add an Internet Link to your Startup folder....

Following are instructions for a Win2000 machine, but they should be similar
for XP...

Click on the Start button to display the Menu. Select the Programs (All
Programs on XP) to display a listing of programs installed on your puter.

Find an item named 'Startup' and right-click on this to display a drop-down
menu.

Select Open to open your Startup Folder...

Right-click on the open folder and select New... Shortcut

Type-in the address of your start page.. (more about this later) eg.
http://www.msn.com

Click 'Next'

Type in the name for your link... this appears in the menu.. eg. MSN Home
Page

The next time you start your puter Internet Explorer will start and go to
this page.

There are plenty of service providers out there that offer free home pages
that you can customize with your own preferences.. MSN and Hotmail is one,
but Yahoo has a fully customizable user home page that you can choose what
you want displayed... Weather, News, Jokes... Pretty good.

If you want you can create your own Page or use a picture to load when your
puter starts.

Instead of adding an Internet Address in your Start-up link (above) press
the Browse button to select a picture file from your puter.Your family photo
may inspire you for the days work ahead. Enjoy...
