The hide arrow on the taskbar goes away. I have check the properties in the taskbar and it is check to hide. I had to restore my comupter to an earlier date. It was fine. This morning when my computer started the arrow was gone again. I had again had to restore my computer. Something is broken.. Thanx. stu

Hi Stu,

Do you have Norton Anti-Virus or McAfee VirusScan installed on the
computer? Simply log off your Windows XP User ID, then right back on.
Finally, start complaining to the maker or programmers of your Anti-Virus
program.
