G Guest Dec 23, 2003 #2 Right click on the Icon and select Properties. ON the shortcut tab you'll see "Comments". Remove the contents of this box and that will eliminate the additional displayed text

When Click to expand... you hover you still get a description i.e. Show Desktop or Launch Microsoft Outlook. Do you know how to get rid of that totally? Thanks. Donna
