Taskbar

I have tried all the obvious ways to move the tasbar back from the side to the bottom, it is not locked, I have clicked and dragged, but all it will do is get wider,
help please.

If you're changing its size instead of moving it, you're clicking
on its edge. Don't do that. Instead click on an unused spot
*within* the task bar.
