Hi all, Somehow my taskbar got to be double its normal size and I can't
seem to find out how to make it normal size. Help?

If you use the Quick Launch toolbar, right click within its boundaries and
select View. If Large Icons is selected, click to change it to Small Icons.

If no luck, is it possible the Quick Launch bar was extended and is taking
up one complete line? If yes, resize the toolbar so that it is once again
on a single line. Then resize the taskbar.

Another item to check: Display Settings> Appearance> Advanced. In the Item
list, select Icon and adjust the Font size down. Or alternatively, re-apply
a standard default scheme that would in turn re-establish default values
for the size of all Windows components.

right-click in your task bar and unlock it.
Then move mouse over edge of task bar to get resizing
arrows. Resize it to how you want it then right-click
again to lock it.
When it is locked you cannot change the size.

normal size, now right clock and then click lock the
