Taskbar

My taskbar is very wide. For some reason, all of a sudden it is this way. I
try to take it to half its size, but when I try to drag the arrow down, of
course it takes it away completely. I do NOT have many icons in it. How can I
get it to be '''very skinny'' and not so wide, so that when I have some
windows open...the taskbar hides the bottoms of them...help!

This often happens if you are using the QuickLaunch tools and the end
"margin" of the QuickLaunch toolbar has gotten so far over to the right
that it is now down below. Unlock the Taskbar and then "grab" the
dotted line on the bottom bar and drag it up to immediately to the
right of the QuickLaunch icons. Now you've successfully made the
QuickLaunch toolbar shorter and can "grab" the top bar of the Taskbar
and "push" it down to the regular one-tier height.
