My taskbar changed from a single line/tier to a double
line/tier with two layer of icons. When I use the double
arrow it won't go back to single, it will only go to no
line. How can I make this a single line again?

Much thanks for you help.

First, unlock the Taskbar (right-click on taskbar, uncheck
"Lock the Taskbar")

Click and drag the separator bar over to the right of the taskbar.
It's the separator that looks like four dots and then three dots
running side by side vertically. It seems to allow you do a double-
decker effect with the task bar. Once you drag the lower one to
the right of the taskbar, it allows you to resize the taskbar.

I had this exact same problem the other day. I wound up removing each of
the toolbars (right-click on the taskbar and deselect each of the toolbars
from the cascaded menu), resizing the taskbar (after removing the "extra"
toolbars, I could do so easily), then adding the toolbars back as necessary.
