taskbar tabs

For some reason the tabs in my taskbar have changed in the way they behave.
Before I was always able to right click for close, minimize etc options and
also clicking a tab would open that window. Now they are flashing orange and
not giving me any of the above options. I recently dwnldd 'Tweak UI' where
this could be 'tweaked' but I never touched it and haven't opened the prog
for days. Can anyone tell me why this has happened and what to do please.

A taskbar tab will flash orange when the underlying program is
waiting for input. Give focus to that program and the orange flashing
will stop.

You say "they" are flashing orange -- do you truly mean that all of
them are doing this? If so, I don't have any useful suggestion.
