Yesterday my XP Pro SP1 Laptop crashed and rebooted.
When the system came back up the taskbar was double the
hight and duplicating itself for open programmes, ie
showing one button for say word at the top and the same
underneath. I tried altering the size using the mouse but
could not get it back to normal.
As a result I did a system restore to the previous day and
the taskbar is back at its normal height, however I have a
blank area to the right of my quick launch icons which is
bracketed by a seperator. I have tried everything I can
think of to remove it, (I can enlarge the area but only
shrink down to a set size of about three icons width), but
I can't get rid.
Has anyone any ideas other than deleting the profile and
re-creating it?
Cheers
