I want to delete some of the old ones that are no

I did it about a year ago - but - I cant remember
how I did it nor can I find how I stumbled onto it
even then LOL

What you say doesn't make any sense. If the programs are no longer
installed on your computer, then you can't possibly see them in the
Notification are (aka System Tray).

Perhaps what you meant to ask is how do you remove shortcut icons from
the Quick Launch Bar. If that's the case, just right-click on them and
choose Delete.

wrong - see the previouse answer on 'how to' - even tho the last time
i did it , it was different and not so tricky messing with the registery.

right click on your ' start ' toolbar at the bottom of desktop
click ' customize ' and useing the scroll bar - pan down to see
the ' past items ' 10 to 1 you will see some that make no sense
plus you may even see a couple left from an uninstall.
all too often uninstalls leave crap behind - which is why god gave
us registry tools. maybe you dont care since they are listed as
' hide when inactive ' and never show up - but I like a clean ship
