My XP professional recently stopped grouping excel files, although it groups
all others. Also, alt-tab does not show separate files when multiple
workbooks are open, only a single instance of Excel.

Any suggestions?

Open Excel. On the Tools menu, click Options. On the View tab, select the
Windows in Taskbar check box.

Thanks for the fix. So easy, yet so hard!

Hello,I have Dell 630i xp pro sp3 with office 2007.When two or more excel
programs are open, right clicking Excel icon on bottom of screen taskbar does
not bring up options of tile, cascade, minimize or close group. These options
are visible but greyed out. They work with other office programs and
explorer/Outlook programs but not Excel.Your solution below was already
checked.

I have noticed other office users having same problem.Your help is
appreciated.
